events postponed & shop closed until further notice - online still available
Founded in 2016, the Preloved Kilo story actually begins wayyy back with a well known Sheffield fixture - Mooch Vintage (RIP). Owner Wayne got a little too carried away on his vintage buying travels, making far too many friends, opening far too many doors & buying far too much vintage that he could possible shift from his little shop on Division Street. And so with a tiny warehouse full of vintage, he began setting up pop up stalls at festivals and vintage fairs around the UK.
Fortunately for us, Wayne loves clothes and he also loves shopping, so after outgrowing the tiny warehouse he ended up with a big warehouse full of vintage - and that's where Preloved Vintage Wholesale Ltd comes in. But with an already competitive vintage wholesale market in the UK, Wayne & husband Mark decided to utilize their knowledge of running pop-up events to bring wholesale to the public, selling quality vintage on a scale never seen before, at prices people couldn't believe.
With the help of friends & family, who remain employees to this day, our first event took place in Bristol's Motion nightclub on 29th January 2017 with hundreds of customers pouring through our doors. Now in our third year, we've hosted over 300 events spanning Dundee to Brighton and at least 50 other towns and cities in between, earning ourselves the title of the UK's biggest kilo sale.
And on 15th June 2020, after the coronavirus pandemic brought our events to a complete stop, we said goodbye to Mooch Vintage and opened our first ever Preloved Kilo Pop-up Shop! The exact same concept but in a more permanent space, right in the heart of Sheffield City centre! Since then, we've even created a partnership with George at ASDA to supply second hand clothing to a wider market, bringing sustainable fashion to the mainstream!
We've saved at least 500 tonnes of clothing from going to landfill, working with global second hand clothing suppliers to handpick everything we sell; We've brought cities to a stop with our entry queues (Sorry, Bath!) and grounded motorway traffic with the sheer volume of visitors (Sorry, Guildford!); and we visit some of the UK's most iconic venues - Town Halls, Cathedrals, Guildhalls, Assembly Rooms - bringing a whole new shopping concept direct to your local community.
