Safety

Last updated: 1st November 2020

Due to new government restrictions, all upcoming events have been postponed and our Sheffield Kilo Shop will close from 5th November. Event ticket holders will be contacted regarding refunds. Our Sheffield shop will remain open as normal on Monday 2nd Nov, Tuesday 3rd Nov and Wednesday 4th Nov but the below guidance must still be observed while we are open. Online wholesale will remain open and we'll be able to process orders as normal, though please expect slight delays due to reduced staffing and working hours at our HQ, as well as increased demand from our shipping partners. We'll work to add more options and stock over the coming weeks.

In the interest of safety, we're imposing some basic guidelines which we require all staff and customers to follow in line with the Government advice. Our fixed Sheffield Shop and our Pop-up Events do differ slightly in their structure so guidance will vary depending on where you shop with us. Please familiarise yourself with them below.

Note: our guidance may change without notice; we simply have to react to the latest Government advice available which itself provides little advanced warning due to the nature of the current situation, and may change from area to area, day by day. We'll do our best to keep everyone informed should last minute changes arise. You can follow us on Facebook, Instagram & subscribe for email updates to receive up to date information.

Please remember that if you have a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell, you must stay at home and isolate until you can obtain a test to determine whether you are Covid-19 positive or not. Please DO NOT attend our events if you have any of the above symptoms, please stay at home and get tested.

events - all postponed

  1. A pre-purchased entry ticket is now compulsory, which enables us to monitor demand, reduce physical contact and also contact you if NHS T&T reaches out. We won't share your data with any third party. You will be able to order these on the day if you don't know whether you can attend yet, but entry will only be permitted with an online ticket.

  2. There is a strict maximum capacity inside, which will vary depending on the size of the venue. Once this capacity is reached, we will operate a one in, one out policy.

  3. If the maximum capacity is reached, you’ll be required to queue outside. We’ll place a member of staff outside to monitor queues. Please try to queue at least 2m away from others.

  4. During high demand, we may impose timed sessions on each customer in store where you'll be given 45 minutes to shop plus 15 minutes to checkout and pay. You are then welcome to rejoin the queue for another round of rummaging. If we're operating timed sessions, you'll be asked to wait outside for the next session. This will be operated on a first come, first serve basis. Once demand has reduced, we'll then move to a one in, one out policy. Our door staff will explain on the day. If you don't wish to queue, we recommend visiting in the afternoon.

  5. Hand sanitiser is available on entry which should be used.

  6. Face masks or other face covering must be worn. This is required by the Government and we have the right to refuse entry to anyone who fails to wear a face covering, unless you are a child under 11 or have a health condition which prevents you wearing one.

  7. Once inside, please observe social distancing - try to stay at least 2m away from others where possible, or 1m with added precautions (e.g. face mask).

  8. Our fitting rooms will remain closed at this time which is required for us to abide by Government retail guidelines. We advise you bring a tape measures so you can measure garments in store to help give you an idea of their fit. Our staff will be able to offer advice on how to measure yourself and the clothing. Please try to avoid trying anything on where possible. We'll also ask that you avoid touching anything that you don't plan to purchase.

  9. Our staff will be provided with PPE and will be required to wear it at all times. We’re also providing cleaning equipment so regular sanitation of high contact areas can take place.

  10. Viruses are unlikely to thrive on porous clothing, however we strongly advise you quarantine your purchases for 72 hours once you get home as advised by the government when buying any type of goods.

  11. Under the new Government tier system, our events are permitted to operate in areas under tier 1 and tier 2 restrictions where retail shops can remain open. However, if our event takes place in a tier 2 area, you must observe Government restrictions regarding different households mixing.
